I Mean, It Only Took Me Over a Year to Post Again

SUP.

boston night

Like the make over? Decided it was time to spruce things up a bit :) As I sit here, congested (#allergyseason), at half-time during the Patriots game, figured I’d catch you up on a few things…

1. I’m a 2L.

hohg law school 2L

YES, I’m in my second year of law school. It’s quite possibly the most challenging and rewarding experience of my life. I work a full-time job and go to class every night. Ask me how busy I am.

2. I still sashay, prance and stomp the amazing city of Boston.

boston day

My city is too pretty.

3. It’s Football Season.

patriots season

Truly the most wonderful time of the year. #PatsNation

4. I met Julian Edelman of the New England Patriots.

edelman and hohg

It was AWESOME.

5. It’s Hockey Season.

bruins hohg

You can find me in the West End on game nights. #GoBruins

6. #TGIT

htgawwm

The ABC network sent me these AWESOME goodies to celebrate some of my favorite shows on Thursday night: Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder! On Thursdays, we melt into the couch, sip our wine and watch ABC.

7. My birthday is this Friday, October 17!

I’ll be 25. Woah. Be sure to watch the festivities unfold all weekend long on my Twitter and Instagram.

Now Playing: Seventh Edition

Hey fabulous followers! Here’s the seventh edition of #HellOnHeels: Now Playing. Share your favorites with me on twitter: @HellOnHeelsGirl. Enjoy!

1. “Dancing on My Own” by Robyn

The ULTIMATE dance party of one anthem. We’ve all been in this position before. Instead of dwelling on it, just head to the center of the dance floor and rock out. [Shout out to my favorite, Miss @socialprgirl] Music Video

2. “Lady Marmalade” by Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim, Mya and Pink featuring Missy Elliot

The ULTIMATE girl anthem. Throwback to when Christina rocked the shit out of a corset (unlike the AMAs the other night, ehh. But I still love her.) Music Video

3. “Silhouettes” by Avicii

DANCE PARTY. Music Video

4. “Chivas (Live Acoustic)” by Kelly Clarkson

It’s easy to write Kelly Clarkson off as a pop songstress. Chivas, one of her lesser known songs, demonstrates that this girl can SING. And, sometimes, we all get so fed up with the dating/relationship game, we just need a time out. “So much for true love, I’ll take the Chivas instead.” YouTube

5. “Someone Else Calling You Baby” by Luke Bryan

In honor of Luke Bryan’s AMA win for Best Male Country Artist (woo!), this is the final song on Now Playing today. This upbeat country song off the “Doin’ My Thing” album from 2009 is a great jam for anyone who just wants their ex to wonder. YouTube

Now Playing: Sixth Edition

Which one is your favorite? Let me know on Twitter: @HellOnHeelsGirl. Enjoy, my darling followers!

1. ” Sweet Nothing” by Calvin Harris featuring Florence Welch

The vocals and the beat on this track contrast in the best way possible. I love when these two collaborate. If you haven’t been already, you’ll be rocking out to this. Music Video

2. “Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain)” by Gary Allan

The latest single from country singer Gary Allan does not disappoint. Sometimes, we all need to take comfort in the fact that eventually, this too will pass. Lyric Video

3. “Stripper” by The Sohodolls

This sultry, funky song has just the perfect amount of come-hither-ness for a night of fun. It puts me in the perfect mood, and it was featured on one of my favorite tv shows, Gossip Girl! When this song comes on, I am instantly transformed into a burlesque dancer in a smoky, dark club. Who doesn’t love a little escape to the wild side?! (wink, wink) Original Music Video

4. “Kick Out the Epic Motherf*&ker” by Dada Life

Rage on, kids. Dance party your hearts out. Music Video

5. “Springsteen” by Eric Church

In honor of Eric Church’s huge win for ALBUM OF THE YEAR, I present to you arguably my favorite song off the CHIEF album. Shocking, I know. I feel like it was only a matter of time until this song made the Hell On Heels: Now Playing list. Normally, if an album has four or five hits, it’s considered a success. This album has that and so much more. In my opinion, every song on it offers something dynamic and different; it’s a wonderful experience for the listener. Eric Church is a lyrical genius with intoxicating word play. The entire album is pure perfection and this savory song about melodies and memories is no exception. Music Video
