Now Playing: Eighth Edition

Hey fabulous followers! Here’s this week’s #HellOnHeels: Now Playing. Be sure to tweet me your favorites @HellOnHeelsGirl. Have you gotten your #HellOnHeels koozie yet? Grab one here. Enjoy!

1. “Tip It On Back” by Dierks Bentley

Relax with a drink and your friends to this fabulous country hit by Dierks. Music Video

2. “Kiss My Head” by Passafire

I present an alterna-rock mellow jam to you. This song got me into the group Passafire, and hopefully you like it too! YouTube

3. “My Body” by Young the Giant

Continuing on the alterna-rock train, this song has been a recurring playlist favorite for months now. It’s great to rock out to in the car for a dance party of one (my favorite) and such a boost for your spirit. “But I won’t quit, ’cause I want MORE.” Music Video

4. “Lolita” by Lana Del Rey

I feel like the baddest, sexiest, bitch when I listen to this song. Give me some red lipstick and red heels and I’m good to go. Vimeo (Side note: Lana created a homemade video demo? Check it out here.)

5. “Marshmallow World” by Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin

Now that Thanksgiving is over, it’s time to bust out the mistletoe and holly for Christmas! These two are my FAVORITE male singers of all time (I’m Italian and a huge sucker for the classics, what did you expect?!) so I found it only appropriate that the first Christmas song to make the Now Playing list be sung by them. This song is upbeat with essential pop standard charm. It’s classic, timeless and happy. A must add to any Christmas playlist. Also, watch the original video of them performing it live on TV here. They just make it look so easy and fun!

Now Playing: Seventh Edition

Hey fabulous followers! Here’s the seventh edition of #HellOnHeels: Now Playing. Share your favorites with me on twitter: @HellOnHeelsGirl. Enjoy!

1. “Dancing on My Own” by Robyn

The ULTIMATE dance party of one anthem. We’ve all been in this position before. Instead of dwelling on it, just head to the center of the dance floor and rock out. [Shout out to my favorite, Miss @socialprgirl] Music Video

2. “Lady Marmalade” by Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim, Mya and Pink featuring Missy Elliot

The ULTIMATE girl anthem. Throwback to when Christina rocked the shit out of a corset (unlike the AMAs the other night, ehh. But I still love her.) Music Video

3. “Silhouettes” by Avicii

DANCE PARTY. Music Video

4. “Chivas (Live Acoustic)” by Kelly Clarkson

It’s easy to write Kelly Clarkson off as a pop songstress. Chivas, one of her lesser known songs, demonstrates that this girl can SING. And, sometimes, we all get so fed up with the dating/relationship game, we just need a time out. “So much for true love, I’ll take the Chivas instead.” YouTube

5. “Someone Else Calling You Baby” by Luke Bryan

In honor of Luke Bryan’s AMA win for Best Male Country Artist (woo!), this is the final song on Now Playing today. This upbeat country song off the “Doin’ My Thing” album from 2009 is a great jam for anyone who just wants their ex to wonder. YouTube

Now Playing: Sixth Edition

Which one is your favorite? Let me know on Twitter: @HellOnHeelsGirl. Enjoy, my darling followers!

1. ” Sweet Nothing” by Calvin Harris featuring Florence Welch

The vocals and the beat on this track contrast in the best way possible. I love when these two collaborate. If you haven’t been already, you’ll be rocking out to this. Music Video

2. “Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain)” by Gary Allan

The latest single from country singer Gary Allan does not disappoint. Sometimes, we all need to take comfort in the fact that eventually, this too will pass. Lyric Video

3. “Stripper” by The Sohodolls

This sultry, funky song has just the perfect amount of come-hither-ness for a night of fun. It puts me in the perfect mood, and it was featured on one of my favorite tv shows, Gossip Girl! When this song comes on, I am instantly transformed into a burlesque dancer in a smoky, dark club. Who doesn’t love a little escape to the wild side?! (wink, wink) Original Music Video

4. “Kick Out the Epic Motherf*&ker” by Dada Life

Rage on, kids. Dance party your hearts out. Music Video

5. “Springsteen” by Eric Church

In honor of Eric Church’s huge win for ALBUM OF THE YEAR, I present to you arguably my favorite song off the CHIEF album. Shocking, I know. I feel like it was only a matter of time until this song made the Hell On Heels: Now Playing list. Normally, if an album has four or five hits, it’s considered a success. This album has that and so much more. In my opinion, every song on it offers something dynamic and different; it’s a wonderful experience for the listener. Eric Church is a lyrical genius with intoxicating word play. The entire album is pure perfection and this savory song about melodies and memories is no exception. Music Video
